This week’s Busines and Finance magazine identifies Studio Negri as an Architect and Design practice to watch. “Every scheme is regarded as a singular opportunity to achieve design ingenuity with a strong understanding of environmental and sustainable issues”
Ones to Watch: STUDIO NEGRI
What is it?
Studio Negri is an architecture and design firm that undertakes a variety of commissions. Every scheme is regarded as a singular opportunity to achieve design ingenuity with a strong understanding of environmental and sustainable issues. Buildings are designed with excellent thermal performance, quality natural light and low carbon footprints that automatically reduce energy consumption and offer added richness to their users.
The company is determined to consistently and sincerely deliver a quality product within the financial and time restraints of the client’s brief.
With more than 13 years experience in the construction industry, the company’s expertise includes development plans, feasibility studies, planning applications and tender packages. Projects undertaken include residential, commercial, educational and industrial, and the company strives to take a project from conception to completion with the highest standards being maintained.
Who’s behind it?
Studio Negri was formed by an Irish- Italian architect born in South Africa. André Negri has practiced in Ireland since 1997 with a range of diverse firms, and has gained valuable design experience. In 2006, André became a member of the RIAI and formed the company on a part-time basis, which he is now operating full time.
If large commissions are taken on, work is sub-contracted to a trusted professional team with André remaining as project leader. This enables the studio to remain a modest size and keep running costs down, hence ensuring a competitive rate to prospective clients. The company is wholly Irish owned and managed.
André has won many awards and competitions in the past, and plans to continue this trend with Studio Negri. He is currently working with a prominent sculptor on a piece for Mayo County Council.
The company aims to be at the forefront of Irish design in the near future, delivering a broad range of services.
