This Edwardian home located in Drumcondra is a terraced two-storey, red brick house with loads of character and original features.

A dormer conversion of the attic was proposed to accommodate a study. The existing stairs continue seamlessly to provide comfortable access to this brand-new attic area. This dormer has a minimal visual impact and opens the views over the garden with a big picture window.

An elegant single-storey rear extension was designed to maximise natural daylight. Large sliding doors with two corner windows open the kitchen and dining area into the garden. A generous roof light connects the original dining room window and opens into the extension making sure light flows into the kitchen all day long.

The existing dwelling was retrofitted, with all windows upgraded to triple-glazing, with an air to water heat-pump powering the underfloor heating and radiators at a constant temperature. 4no. solar panels were installed on the rear south-facing roof, allowing this property to achieve an A3 BER rating.
