This historic residential property located on Kenilworth Park, Kimmage, Co. Dublin forms part of a well-preserved Victorian streetscape of significant architectural and urban value.

The project focuses on the sensitive retrofit of the existing dwelling, improving internal comfort, functionality, and environmental performance while fully respecting its historic character. All interventions were carefully detailed to ensure minimal visual impact and full compatibility with the existing structure, in close alignment with conservation best practice.

Although historic and protected residential buildings are often constrained in terms of energy upgrades, the project aimed to significantly enhance thermal performance, airtightness, and overall energy efficiency without compromising heritage value. The result demonstrates that, through a considered and respectful retrofit strategy, historic homes can be sustainably upgraded and adapted to contemporary living standards, ensuring their continued use and relevance well into the future.
